I suspect my lecturer and i are from different planets...i can't seem to get much out of the lessons. Probably ain't her fault, maybe it's just me. I'm so getting lost, she seems like shes in her own world, telling us stuff, but i don't get it.....and the assignment is killing me. aihhhyeeeeeeeeee~

Hope i get a sudden understanding, hit me soon o wise one! hahaha...:P

mr part time drummer; ashin

These were edited out from the original Mayday DNA concert post because it would have been too long....
but just to make my school week a lil happier..with all the studies and sch work...putting up a lil ashin to see when i po by would make it better...:))) heh. 阿信~
Hope you enjoyed this lil side out from the original post!;)

so i don't conform to norms. bite me.

so i don't wear sexy black dresses to suit the crowd.
so i look like a sore thumb sticking out.
well, i tried.
i don't conform to the norm to look just like everyone else.
i try to be a conformist at times, so don't penalize me when i'm not.

encouragement is nice. but sometimes. the words just doesn't come out right.

i'm just trying to be comfortable in my own skin...help me sometimes. don't put me down. guide me, slowly.

doing dinner.

old photo jy put together.
meeting my 3 gals.
doing dinner is fun. :)
pals meet up not necessarily only when there is a occasion, making time once in awhile just to do dinner and chit chat about each others life is nice. feels warm. heh.
it's nice to be updated on each others life, even if it's random little stuff.
if you haven't met up with your bud whom you used to just chat just because, for a long time, make an effort to find time to do so. i'm sure it'll be a great thing!:)
........

and specially for jy*ahems*:P, who was lost when we talking about this singer whom both me and orange thought were good...

jy was asking about this two new songs. so to share with jy and everyone too!:D
enjoy. :)

wonder when will her solo album be out?
here's the old post i did about pets.
enjoy.
hope you'll like her voice. ;)

spot the lil aLien game.

lilalienations: heard of the big flop of the organisers for the inugural f1 rocks concert. from the many reports i have read and a personal encounter from one of my faved dj's cruz. i really reel in disgust of the organisers for this event, esp on the night where all the chinese superstars and bands perform. among these people were legends. a*mei and jacky, not to mention i enjoy sodagreen and da mouth's stuff too. i feel by the way of handling we can see that, (the organisers)they were ill prepared, and just plainly rude. they didn't even allow the dj to salvage the situation when he clearly could have easily done it. sheesh. concert organisers, you're spoiling your own image. boo to you all for that.
......................................................................................................................................

a primary school friend tagged a old primary school class photo from the yearbook on fb....gosh. eons ago. ancient stuff sia...haha...
now...find sarah. clue: i was looking omg so fugly. -_-
but, o well, that's ok. it's part of growing up.
not that i think i look much better now...but at least i don't have such awful looking hair now.
bwahahahaa.
click on the pic for a bigger view if you wanna.

have you found me yet? :P
oo...for the record, i didn't like the chinese language teacher in the class pic, the one before this was wayyy better to me at least:). Just looking at the picture, i think i still don't really like her class, wonder if she's still teaching? Maybe i was prejudice agaisnt her as a kid? oops. =X I used to skip her classes, o the havoc, but go to see another teacher. the irony? lol. the other teacher was a nice relieve teacher, but i guess she never wondered why i could miss half of the whole period sometimes....lol. sheesh. such a bad bad kid. lol.

i use to remember slps was so dirt poor not so rich , in my memory that is, no fancy band or orchestra like other primary schools. I thought all schoold didn't have it either! only until i reach secondary school then i realised...how wrong i was. :P and when i visited the newly built siling primary then i realised, back then, we really didn't have all that many stuff, all the fancy pancy stuff.

But then, if you ask me, did that make a difference?
no way man.
would i have choose another school just because they had fancy pancy buildings and equipments or prestigous names to go with?
of course not.

why?
very simply because, i was a kid.
who needs all those. some 'atas sikit' people may always beg to differ, but, o well, to each his own.
when you're young, as long as theres friends, junk food and time to play.
its someone near heaven, ok, still far. but kids from my time were more gong simple minded. happiness is actually very simple. humans complicate it at times.

being with loved ones. being yourself.
time to be them and time to be you.
great food helps too. haa!

have you found me yet?
psst. i was the fugly 7th student from the left on the second row. heh.
so what if i was fugly? i was growing up. and proud of my memories!
wouldn't change any of the memories i have from whenever a kid till now, even if you asked me.
heh.
:)
....
sometimes some people say they are ashamed to look at their growing up days, i think, so whaaaat if i looks fugly or whatever. it's my precious memories!;) don't let anyone take that away from you...
go make more memories!
my slps pals:)
my buggers:)
my gals:)
and so many more memories.
past present future makes a man.

yet another self quiz....

lilalienations: i just got a minor scare into thinking i forgotten someone's birthday yet again...luckily, it was just a scare...hahaa...:P don't mind me...it's just that, i'm not sensitive to numbers, dates included, so i record all important friend's birthdays on my trusty calender. :))
lilalienations2:*in no relation with the above* sometimes i wonder why i can feel so disappointed at people or so angry that i wanna say shit you foff...but i can all swallow it back down and make myself feel horrible without anyone even knowing. god. sometimes i amaze myself. just don't ignite the time bomb i guess, it might explode for real some day? o well
.
................................................................................................................................................i realise the pic is still not clear enough to see the wordings even in it's biggest size, click on photo to see wordings and/or bigger version. :)

was editing photos and decided to make this one into a little poster or postcard if you wish.

take it to give a little motivation to anyone who needs it. :)

.......

Saw this on Jy's side...and because when i was saving the photo *aka above, but, the original edit* it was was taking forever, i pop-ed by just to let the other site load....here's the link if your interested...;) remember, take it with a pinch of salt. pinch of salt, not just believe in every word you read yea.;)

Your view on yourself:

You are down-to-earth and people like you because you are so straightforward. You are an efficient problem solver because you will listen to both sides of an argument before making a decision that usually appeals to both parties.

The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:

You are a true romantic. When you are in love, you will do anything and everything to keep your love true.

Your readiness to commit to a relationship:

You prefer to get to know a person very well before deciding whether you will commit to the relationship.

The seriousness of your love:

You like to flirt and behave seductively. The opposite sex finds this very attractive, and that's why you'll always have admirers hanging off your arms. But how serious are you about choosing someone to be in a relationship with?

Your views on education

Education is very important in life. You want to study hard and learn as much as you can.

The right job for you:

You're a practical person and will choose a secure job with a steady income. Knowing what you like to do is important. Find a regular job doing just that and you'll be set for life.

How do you view success:

You are afraid of failure and scared to have a go at the career you would like to have in case you don't succeed. Don't give up when you haven't yet even started! Be courageous.

What are you most afraid of:

You are concerned about your image and the way others see you. This means that you try very hard to be accepted by other people. It's time for you to believe in who you are, not what you wear.

Who is your true self:

You are mature, reasonable, honest and give good advice. People ask for your comments on all sorts of different issues. Sometimes you might find yourself in a dilemma when trapped with a problem, which your heart rather than your head needs to solve.

stupid packaging.

stupid packaging. why are you designed so nicely to entice me to buy you...? hahaa...:p
I admit....i bought them because they looked too cute to miss....plus it wasn't too expensive...heh.:P
face masks from taiwan....it's said to be the "No.1 facial mask from Taiwan" i guess there should be some truth in that....haven't tried it out yet...hope it's good though!:D
yes...i'm a sucker for good packaging....esp those from japan and korea...how do they make everything look so good?!
bad bad....
luckily my rationale comes to good use *at times, well, sometimes not:P*when i get awaken from the mesmerism of the beauty of the product when i see its price tag...-_-''

i'm sure i'm not the only person attracted to all this o-so-beautiful things.
shallow human beings.ahh.thats me too>.<>o the sin, but so yummy. i finally found the cure to my two lappy's illnesses.

Just in case any of you might be experiencing the virus without knowing it let me just share the stuff which i know with you all.:)
Just do a check, click on these two anti-virus webs Trendmicro , Symantec.
Can you get in smoothly? Are you able to do updates for the antivirus system on your lappy or pc now...? i think most of us use free avg antivirus.. or it could just be me, cheapskate-_-

if the answer is yes to the two above then a-okie! there should be no problem!:D
but, if you have either of the problem or both of the problems...then you might have encountered the same virus i did...but no worries! i found the solution! weee...*act smart. beaming. lol*eh. not easy ok, i found the solution after multiple failed attempts. *sho smart. cough cough*

Download AVZ antiviral toolkit from here**
Then set it up and do a good scan, it would help you remove the bug.

yeapyeaps. :)
hope that was useful for you guys if you needed it.
...
take care! loves. be a nice human. :)

It's alright to be a poser.

yes. i'm sure, i pose like that with my friends too.
New shot from Wong Fu. When i watched the first 10 seconds of the 14minutes clip i was thinking...eh? is this really a wong fu shot or did i click on the wrong clip....after making sure i continued...then realised, yeapx, i was on the right clip...lol...
cast of show.
at usual. humour, check. wes is o so cute, check, phil and ted,un-check (behind the scenes count? lol. where was ted?!) it's really kinda interesting, it's a mockumentary by the way, not a documentary. It talks about the whole 'posing' kinda stuff...in asia and the different parts of the world. I didn't find it offensive in any way, though those more sensitive might? no idea. but if you don't think your one...gamely watch it...all the way yea? it gets funnier towards the end. and wes is somewhere in the middle lol.

You can read the writeup for the inspiration here*. not too sure if it'll suit your taste because, it not a story kinda video. But i recommend it because, it's a interesting take, i've thought of this at some point too. tell me if you like it...;) and if you have watched it...admit it! we do many of those poses! at least once before.lol.:P hey. be proud of it, at least we happen to look cute? when we're at it. heh.:P

anyway, i wanted to see if i really did any of those poses with my pals so i went to my fb pictures to have a look and wadaya knowww, i'm the princess of peace peace pose-r. i'll show you in pics, out of 10 i have my peace sign up about 7 times. 0.o hahaa.
but i guess among my friends...we're considerably mild....? in terms of over-posing.lol.
alone. peace.
everyone together. peace!
no the hand on hair was not a pose, the wind was just strong in phuket.lol
with ling. peace. at least shes doing something cute. i'm still peace-ing.
son has the peace genes. lol.
with my buggers. i'm peacing again. but, bie and jo sure look cute with the double peace!

and i got fed up with seeing all my peace poses....i tried to look for some in which i had something different....lol...at least there were. *phew* i thought i was soo boring with all the sign peace signs.
look! finally i found me not peace-ing, i was normal...but my cute buggers are doing the peace!
its cute ok. and peace to the world is a good thing. heh. :P
the wide angle. jump pose.
1,2,3,4.
at least i didn't do 2?
and one of the more interesting poses. the superman mario one?;P

but i realised. after i saw this photo in fb tagged by jy.
the many classic pose we do usually come when we are taking neo-prints.
flip out your neo-prints, very hardly you'll be just standing there smiling.....
was i right?
heh. ;)

it's ok to be a pose-r in photos, as in pose for the camera, but not a poser in life, where you be someone your not. ;)

Forget to remember.

forget to remember
I was trying out my new brushes and doodling and got quite happy with the results. bhb. lol...so i made a poster with it....should have made it verticle so it can be used as a wallpaper...but o well, heck. i still used it as a wallpaper because i got kinda bored with the old one...haha...

Blogger didn't let me upload the original from the comp (its turned up in the wrong colour, like real ugly. -_-) thus i had to get this through flickr...wonder what went wrong....

But but. i'm not putting this up here because i like the colours, ok partly just a lil....:p but it's more because i would like to share the quote in the poster...

"Forget to Remember How To be Afraid."
-this was a quote from the character 5 from the movie 9.

think about it...hope you like this quote too. ;)
................

Since, I am on the topic of the movie "9", let me do a mini short review on it. Why 'mini'? because i didn't really enjoy the movie......

tim burton's "9" opened on 9 sept 2009.

Cite Tim Burton's name and most people would think of "The Nightmare before Christmas" and "Corpse Bride". These two are just a tip of his many good works. Another few to add on to the two which i just mention and which i enjoy very very much from Tim Burton are " Edward Scissorhands", "Charlie and the chocolate factory" and "James and the Giant Peach" i'm sure most of you would have at least heard of or catch the first two...if not more....
I always loved tim's works, the witty story lines, the techniques (for many of it like nightmare, corspe bride and edward scissorhand german expressionism style is seen as a influence) he use to bring out the movie's characters.
But when i went to watch this movie with my classmates i felt kinda dissapointed with it.
Very frankly the only plus point of the movie for me was the quote which i used above. Other than that, i really wasn't too impressed with it. The story wasn't really of a strong plot for me, it was just so-so. i was looking hard for a place to laugh, cry or something, non hit me, it was all done in one tone, half way through i was wondering....is the movie ending?Maybe....you could say the visuals were good?

But overall, if you were to ask me, i would say....if your looking for entertainment that is not the movie for you....well, unless your too free and have a little spare cash. I was wondering, if it was because i was too biased because it was a partly set in a more 'dark tone' after thinking...naahhh. i really just do not enjoy it i guess. couldn't find a excuse for it....haha...

But still, i would recommend the other movie i watched some time back.
Aliens in The Attic.

No stella cast, no big director to boast.
But, i think it's one which makes you come out from the cinema feeling alot more light hearted.
Not a sob sob family movie, more of one full of laughter. If you had been having a stressful week and just need a good laugh, go for this.
The plot is simple, aliens coming to take over the world and it's up to the kids to save our world.
Why not the adults? Who are these kids? Aliens@-@?
Go enjoy the movie to find out more.
Simple plot, but good enough for this 86min movie.
warning. leave your brains and prejudice outside the theatre if you want to truly enjoy the movie, go with a child-like heart(if you want to be a stern old boring adult, i suggest skip all these kind of shows altoghether. haa.) o, and bring your kids, little sis or bro, trust me, they'll thank you for it. :)

9 wasn't a big hoo-haa for me, i hope the next tim burton movie would be good.
alice in wonderland.
i wonder how he would remake this well known tale?
wootx.

i was so excited....but then i realised. gosh. i do not know those kids, and they do not recognise me as well....suddenly i felt old, to rub it in, my mum who was standing me told me..."aiyo, you oldie already lah. they won't recognise you." @-@ awwwww. *not in the happy mood kinda aww. you get what i mean* i suddenly felt so old just for a moment, but then kinda proud at the same time thinking....i used to wear one of those bright yellow shirts too! haa....:)

a special post for Diyana!:)

lilalienations: i didn't catch the video music awards live, but heard from my friend who did and saw reports on the whole kanye west and taylor swift whoohaa. my thoughts are, West is such a attention seeking kid. apparently he creates havoc every other year, or every year if he pleases.grow up dude. though not a fan, but i think taylor is a good singer:)
..................................................................................................................................................

Diyana!
Happy Happy Birthday to you!:)

Di introduced us to this place with nice atmosphere in arab street. The name of the shop is Ambrosia, but frankly, i don't think it really matters, because the name of their shop is so well camouflage, that even if i were to walk past it 10 times i wouldn't even get the shop. eh.nice shop, nice name, put your sign bigger lah. -_-

in case your wondering why arab street sounds familiar...
sheesha taken by rek:)
you might have heard it from your friends or people you know who frequent it for sheesha (i heard smoking it once the whole process is equivalent to smoking 18 cigarettes. sheessh! imagine that.how deadly.) the place we went to had sheesha for customers too, but no, we didn't try it. :)
haa.
this one was a random one...but i like this photo. it turned out nice. :)

i must admit, the place feels real nice, and outside it was bustling with people too...i think the festive lights help too...nice. :))
Some pics for the night...
the main lead of the night. nice. :)

We ordered beer. tiger. nono. we ordered peach tea and winter melon tea. but cux we used beer mugs and the colour of the tea looked exactly like beer, so it could have easily passed off as it. haa!

diyana is reprimanding bie....girl girl ahhh....
