Tips to prevent hangovers

lilalienations: a game plan came through today....but i was no where in it....i was wondering what kind of reaction should i be having....?

I don't drink often, or more rather to say I'm not much of a drinker....but i happen to come across a health program which was talking about Hangovers and how to counter them....I do know of some friends who drink often and drink loads......

So i guess it's a good share...:)
How to prevent getting hangovers the next morning....( i know there are many tips, but here are those i saw)
  • Remember to have a meal before drinking, don't drink on a empty stomach, and try not to make it a too oily meal. (it was something about oil and alcohol not going well...couldn't remember that part too well)
  • In between booze, remember to hydrate oneself. It'll be best that for every one bottle of booze, drink the same amount of liquid (plain water that is) to hydrate yourself in between, not just after at one shot.
  • Isotonic drinks aka sports drinks (Pocari Sweat, 100plus,Gatorade), drink them after all the booze-ing, or before going to bed.
  • Take two panadol or pain killers before going to bed ( something about preventing inflammation or something like that....i can't remember exactly why already...)
Yeaps....this were the few ways which were tested and given out as tips....

The best thing is to know yourself well, don't over booze. Drinking is not bad, but as everything goes, moderate is the word. Love yourself, don't drink and drive too. :)
